Information for Educators

Education is the very first step to effective money management.  CCSAC can help.  We offer customized workshops, presentations and seminars that will teach youth how to handle and understand their finances.

CCSAC equips students with the information to make sound financial decisions. In our presentations we cover a variety of topics geared towards youth, such as:

• Managing your money
• Learning to budget
• Looking at your expenses
• How to save
• Putting a roof over your head
• Planning for the future

We offer scholarships to graduating students for completing a budgeting related assignment.  The scholarship is paid out in January of the following year to help with the costs midway through the year.  It is money they can use to lower the cost of their education. A scenario based essay is how they can apply for the scholarship.  As they work through the exercise they not only have a chance of winning a scholarship, they will also learn about the financial resources within their community.
